Trust

A published number is never changed.

Proof

Every day
At about 12:00 UTC, every index period written or revised since the last proof is hashed with SHA-256 and stamped with OpenTimestamps, which anchors the hash in a Bitcoin block.
Check it
Any day's proof is at /api/indices/proof?day=. Any OpenTimestamps client verifies it without trusting Tickerz. API reference
Revisions
A revision by the source is shown beside the final number, never over it.
Terminal
Terminal events are stamped the same way at open, then each receipt at 24 hours, 7 days and 30 days: /api/receipts/proof.

On Base

Every day
The company wallet also attests the Close on Base with EAS (Ethereum Attestation Service): each index's newest complete reading and the SHA-256 digest of that day's proof. An attestation cannot be changed or withdrawn, and a Base contract reads it without this site.

For builders
Call getAttestation(uid) on EAS at 0x4200000000000000000000000000000000000021. Accept it when attester is 0x2D4A1c7e1069aD62d45b7218524cf01f67A68F74 and schema is 0xdf8161575c15391d8fa95e18a440548605db46cec95f843811cf89cbf204d48e. Decode data as (uint32 closeDay, bytes32 sealDigest, bytes32[] tickers, uint32[] periods, uint128[] valuesE6, uint8[] scores). Days are written as yyyymmdd, values in millionths, tickers as text padded to 32 bytes, and a score of 255 means none. The uid for any day is the attestation field of /api/indices/close?day=.

Rulebook v0.2, 2026-10-04

Resolution
Every index page has a Resolution section: what it counts, the source, when it is published, the final number, the fallback when a source is late, the precision, what it costs to move the number, and a grade.
Reference
A public record a venue can recount itself.
Candidate
Counted by Tickerz from a primary source, with a young rulebook.
Display
A vendor's figure, shown and not for settlement.
See only
A count of harm to people, never called.
Versions
A rulebook changes only by a new version with a date. A license names the version it settles on.
Thin day
Rulebook v0.2, 2026-10-04 adds one mark. A complete $GIGS or $WAGE day is marked thin when paying wallets in the sample are under 70% of the median of the 28 complete days before it, and only once 14 earlier days are on file. The level stays. No earlier print is rewritten. The count, the source and the fallback of every other index are the v0.1 rules.

What went wrong

Stamping at open
The 68 Terminal events opened before 20:30 UTC on September 22 2026 were stamped after the fact, in hourly batches until 05:30 UTC on September 23. Each of their receipt cards says how late. Every event since is stamped within about an hour of opening.
Withdrawn claim
An early research claim that downside spikes recover rested on one date and was withdrawn on September 22 2026. The correction is dated on the research page.
Not a prediction
The Activity score measures unusual attention. It does not predict price: the median 7 day return after an event has been negative. Evidence measures it live.

Where the numbers come from

Index
Each index page names its source and the source's terms. Primary sources come first: the Solana chain for $MINTS, the Department of Labor claims file for $LAYOFFS.
Terminal
Prices: Alchemy, for coins and for stocks (through their xStocks, tokenized shares). Each asset is scored only against its own Alchemy readings, with 30 days of Alchemy history loaded when it joined. An asset Alchemy cannot price is off the Terminal, and its page says why.

Company
Tickerz LLC, Florida, a small founding team.
Role
Tickerz publishes the number and never runs the market. It takes no bets, holds no funds and issues no token. $TKRZ is a text mark.
